Born on an interstellar cargo vessel, Ginkoshi jettisoned during an epic space battle and arrived in Japan, circa 2014. To blend in with Japanese cyber culture, Ginkoshi adopted a variety of disguises.
All that is known about Ginkoshi are reports that a great inspiration for shin-mitate-e was taken from an interview with Japanese artist, Tatsuya Tanaka, the brilliant creator of miniature calendar artworks and the person who explained that mitate-e (parody picture) was a popular artform during the
Edo period.
